Allergy & Blood Testing
The Food Allergy Test is a comprehensive test of some 245 foodstuffs, including food colourants and additives. This can quickly reveal which foods are causing a problem; excluding them from your diet often results in a swift improvement of symptoms.
Functional testing is extremely helpful in nutritional therapy – many disorders have similar symptoms and it can be difficult to differentiate between them.
For example, a gall bladder disorder can show similar symptoms to a heart attack, causing severe pain across the chest, accompanied by nausea; a constant pain below the breastbone that shoots into the right or left shoulder area, radiating into the back. Digestive problems could be liver problems, overgrowth of harmful bacteria, a food allergy or even parasites. Constant feelings of fatigue may be a sign of candida albicans overgrowth, lack of iron in the blood or perhaps an underactive thyroid.
A simple test can show what is happening – most of the tests involve kits that can be carried out at home. Some may require a blood test that can be done at the laboratory or by a local GP or nurse.
